Using AI/HPC, scientists/Researchers/Engineers have been solving grand challenge problems like drug discovery, protein structure modelling, weather/climate/ocean simulation, medical image processing, driver-less cars, and Computational Fluid Dynamics. While these applications are very relevant to the humanity, the complexity involved in solving these is multi-dimensional in nature.

 

As developers of these applications, the scientists/researchers, some level of knowledge of the latest system architecture like GPUs and familiarity with modern programming models are unavoidable.
